I've been making images of the Rhode Island surf scene for the last two
years. This still growing body of work which was undertaken by accident on
a cold November morning is representative of my efforts to capture the
devout practitioners of this great sport - one which is certainly not confined
to the sunny beaches of California or Hawaii.

My goal with these images has been an ever-changing one, but at the
present I've found myself working to push them further, blurring the line
between surf photography and surf art. While I am not sure how well I have
accomplished this to date, I am having a lot of
fun working at it.
